The winners of the People’s Choice Award are:

 Yufan Jiang

Yufan Jiang, from California College of the Arts, won the People’s Choice Award for his poster “Tape of Smell”.  Yufan describes his project noting that “Smell storytelling is often times so abstract and emotional. It makes us assume the murky process of smell storytelling must be built on some murky instinct. But instead, like all disciplines, smell storytelling is built on principles of concrete understandings.”

Jessica Escobedo, Eli Hong, and Justeen Lee

Jessica Escobedo, Eli Hong, and Justeen Lee, from ArtCetner College of Design, won the People’s Choice Award for her video “MotionXR”.  Jessica describes her project as “a speculation on the implications of how we might socialize, mingle, interrupt, produce, and design shared experiences as technologies advance. This platform imagines a future that allows one to enter a virtual scene by synchronizing their body movement with the scene creator.”
